A Moment of Magic Foundation at UNC Chapel Hill is a chapter of the national 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2018. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of medically vulnerable and underserved children in the Triangle area, reminding them to be brave, strong, and fearless. Our volunteers create magic when they visit kids as Magic Makers (non-costumed volunteers) or popular fairytale and superhero characters. UNC AMoM hosts visits in hospitals, social service institutions, at large public events, and inside family homes. Most importantly, all services provided by our chapter are free of charge to the family or organization we serve.
